A Spooktacular Steampunk Halloween!
IWC Challenge #53
Black and Orange

This is the card I made for the iCopic lover challenge.  The theme was Black and Orange, so of course I went Halloween with it.  After all, it is only a couple of days away.  The image I used is my first ever digi stamp (why didn't I use these before!) from KennyK design, and is part of his Steampunk Burlesque set.  Lots of fun images to play with.  These digi stamps work so well with Copics!

I decided that I would try and give her a deathly pallor, so I used E81 and highlighted with G21.  Hair was done with  combinations of E81 and C3.  For the orange I used YR04, YR16.  Blacks was a combination of V20, C3, and BV29.  I wanted the background to have a comic book feel so I used B24 and C3.

For the card part I used a Black dp, then plain Orange cardstock.  Our Burlesque, gun toting, steampunk zombie is popped up with foam mounting tape.  To embellish the card, I added a bit of lace some Orange flower stamen.  I put little bits of diamond bling at each corner, and did the flourish with Black puff paint, and Orange Stickles.  I added a couple of clear embellishments to balance the rest of the card.

Enjoy and Happy Halloween!

I made this card for the challenge over at iCopic.  The challenge theme is baby.  We had to use either a baby image, or colors.  Now, I don't have any baby images, so I thought I would go with blue colors.  This stamp is relatively new to me, even though it is my last post, lol.  I have had so much fun playing with this iamge.  Once again it is from Cornish Heritage Farms, and part of their Saturday Evening Post collection.

I have used this stamp in grey tones, to create a black and white image, so I thought why not try blue.  I think it worked out well.  Image was colored using copics, then I went over everything with Distress Ink in Antique Linen.  For the background I used my Spellbinder Impressabilities snowflake, and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink.  Hope you enjoy!

Santa Claus is coming to town!

Santa Claus is coming to town!  I recently purchased this stamp called Santa's Lap, put out by Cornish Heritage Farms, as part of their Saturday Evening Post line.  What fun to play with this stamp and to color!  For the main stamped image I used Copics (still getting the hang of them, but love 'em so far!), as well as for the Holly branches that decorate the bottom (I accented the Holly with Twinkling H2O's).  The background paper is from Graphic 45, part of their Christmas Past paper collection.  Once I had the main image colored I went over the whole image with Antique Linen Distress Ink, I love the finished look that doing this brings, it really helps to soften and blend things together.

I also took the opportunity to play with another new toy!  I have had my I Top for a few months now, but had yet to really use it.  Easy to use, great results, I would recommend this tool to anyone.  Once again I used Graphic 45 DP.  I have the topper template as apposed to the punch, so I centered it over my paper, traced and cut.  I opted to glue my paper in place to the top of the brad head, then make the rest of the brad.  This helped keep the sentiment centered.

I added a couple bits of bling to the top of the page.  One glass embellishment at the center, and two small half pearls to either side.  I wanted to round out the overall look of the card without making it too busy.  Almost forgot!  Santa's suit has been accented with two shades of Stickles, Frosted Lace and Diamonds.  I like using the two colors to help give dimension to what I'm glittering up.

Thank you for stopping by and looking.  This card is available for sale on my Etsy page....Check itout!
